 We got blown out of the action earlier in the week but by Sunday December 14th we were back at it hammering away at some 40++ stripers with regular Jay Simmons. I had the chance to fish all day with Jay and between the two of us we manged our limit of stripers to 32" . We started the day picking a few fish here and there but patience prevailed and we managed a great ending to an awesome fishing season !! We caught most of the nicer fish when we located a school of stripers feeding on a vast school of sea herring and adult bunker off of Ship bottom, what made the fishing exceptional was the fact we were the only boat in sight ,having the stripers all to ourselves !!! This will be the last fishing report for the 2008 fishing season and I would like to thank all of you who have made the time and effort to fish aboard the Reel Fantasea Charters . It has been a privilige to have fished with all of you and could only wish you all had as much fun as I did !!. Even though the Reel Fantasea has yet to be hauled out for her winters nap I am already planning her Spring launch date and already taking reservation for next year. From mine to yours I wish a Happy, Healthy Holiday Season and Prosperous New Year and hope to see you all next season. My Sincere Thanks,

Our Bays fertile waters provide a haven for all sea life from clams , mussels, crabs, shrimp, sea worms and vast amounts of various species of baitfish ,all providing the " all you can eat buffet " necessary not only to attract gamefish to our area but to retain them for extended periods thru out our season and provide some of the best action found anywhere ! Our bay plays host to the prized striped bass , as well as trophy sea trout aka weakfish, slammer bluefish, large and small, and summer flounder / fluke just to name a few.
Moving off the coast of Barnegat, the opportunities are endless from Trophy Striped Bass Fishing [20-50lb class fish] to fishing our wrecks both natural and artificial , providing " drop and reel " type fishing ! Seabass, Blackfish, Porgies, Fluke, Ling, and a cast of others answering the call on a regular basis making for an interesting and exciting days fishing !
Reel Fantasea also fishes our offshore lumps and ridges for Tuna , Atlantic bonitas, False Albacore, Mahi Mahi, Bluefish with a showing from various other species such as Spanish and King Makeral.
